A few house rules

As with all communities, there are some house rules that we ask all members to adhere to for the ‘greater good’. We ask that you do not sell multiple prints on Auction Saboteur unless you are the artist or you have their permission. After all, we are trying to democratise art trading and by perpetuating status quo of ‘the few’ lauding it over ‘the many’, we will have failed before we have started. Even galleries that use our site are asked to honour this request.

Oh, and another thing. When trading through Auction Saboteur, the same common sense rules apply that apply in life. We would encourage buyers and sellers to communicate with one another beforehand and when the time comes to meet then do it somewhere safe where both parties feel comfortable. However, at the end of the day, how you choose to sell or buy your art is your choice just as much as how you choose to live your life – if you are happy not to meet up and trust the post, that’s fine. This site is about encouraging a 'do-it-yourself' culture and bringing people together – not about telling you what to do.
