Hello everyone, we are inviting all artists everywhere to donate a piece of work to the street art awards to be sold on the night for charity. We would like the event to be free, in the spirit of the open source free nature of street art itself. (Free tickets available on the afternoon of the event at rough trade, is the plan so far plus guest list). So we are relying on art donations sold on the night as the real fundraising drive. Well that and insites amazing cake.

The aim is to support the London arts project to become a full time creative arts hub, offering a space with free materials, peppered with professional artists and people that love being creative but might not have otherwise have had the opportunity to share skills and ideas with professional artists.

If we play it right on the night of the street art awards we might, just have enough money to roll out the project full time and establish essentially an urban arts center made by the people for the people. Eventually becoming self sufficient, always working towards an end goal.

All we need is everyone to throw their weight behind the idea and donate a piece or work either on on a record or record cover or if not on a record, just throw something our way.

This is no funny monkey Charity outfit, every penny will be cared about and argued about by the single homeless project to ensure the people who should benefit from this money will benefit from it. Any cash raised will not be going on salaries or admin fee's, just directly to making the arts project itself.

We've got a heady mix of artists that will be including something. we have had some very big names say yes already, not just from the urban arts scene. Hopefully next week we will be able to name drop a list of artist that practically covers the who's who of the urban art scene.

Can everyone with a recognisable name please make up a nice piece on a record or record cover (or something else), and drop it off at the rough trade east shop. They will put you and your partner on the guest list too and no doubt give you all sorts of extra special attention from there on in. If you want the work picked up in person from your studio, we'll even send someone around, just pm me or call me 07515 809 348. If you want to give something anonymously, No worries blindfolds are available.

This event could give birth to something beautiful, which all contributers will be able to smell, breath, watch and contribute, long after the event. All Honorable members of the urban arts community please step forward.
